Board
In accordance with the foundation’s mission “Patients for patients” and to the extent possible, the board shall consist of Waldenström's Macroglobulinemia (“WM”) patients, with a minimum of 50% of the entire number of board members.
Since June 2009 EWMnetwork is registered as a Foundation with Affiliates.
The first Board of the Foundation “EWMnetwork” consists of:

EWMnetwork: Become an Affiliate of EWMnetwork
Affiliates, criteria
EWMnetwork can work together with affiliates on a European level and/or can stimulate research and development of (new methods of) treatment and/or medication of WM patients in such affiliates' country.
Affiliates can be ‘patient organisations’ or ‘individuals’.
Affiliates must comply with the following criteria
A patient organisation
- has as its main objective the advocacy, support and care of WM patients and their caregivers;
- includes WM patients or their close relatives or caregivers in its governing body and/or committees ;
- is a not-for-profit organisation;
- is independent from any government, political party and/or commercial organisation;
- supports and demonstrates a commitment to EWMnetwork’s vision and mission.
An individual
- is either a WM patient, close relative or a caregiver of a WM patient;
- shall in relation to EWMnetwork act independently from any government, political party and/or commercial organisation;
- supports and demonstrates a commitment to EWMnetwork’s vision and mission.
EWMnetwork maintains contact with its affiliates through its website, e-mails, news letters and/or meetings.
